Hungry? Fast and easy oat scones in 20′
[LOVE TIP 30′] I love scones. Either in their traditional sweet version with cream and jelly, or in the savoury one with grated cheese and seeds… It is an easy-fast-delicious snack to prepare in less than half an hour, to be enjoyed all day long. So stay with me for this healthy up version with oats!
Ingredients for 5 big scones. Preparation 5’+ bake 15′
Better if you can pick organic flour of course..
2,5 cups of flour, 1 cup of oats , 3 ts of baking powder, 1/2 ts of salt, 100 g of butter, 1 cup of milk (I commonly use vegetal milk, soy or almond milk work well). So this is a light version: no egg, no cream, oats replacing part of flour. You could also push it further and use wholegrain flour… And then splurge on cream and jelly? …
Optional : 1 pinch of cinnamon/ 3 ts of seeds or dried fruits/ orange or lemon zest/ 2 ss of grated cheese…Twists are endless..
1. Preheat the oven at 250°
2. Mix all ingredients, shape 5 balls of the size of a fist (should be 3 cm high or so). For a nice golden colour, swift some milk on top.
3. Bake for 15′. Retrieve from oven and let cool. Now you can enjoy them!
